The next time that you are considering who your true friends are - be sure to take into account some not-so-common factors.

Most people look for truth, honesty, and dependability. These are all admirable traits and are among the most coveted when you are considering friendships. However, the next time you look at your “true friends,” ask yourself the tough questions. Use the example below to help.

Say your friend’s family had an unjust bias because your friend has made them believe falsehoods to save face for their own stupidity. Your friend knows that at heart, he or she is wrong for doing this, but refuses to admit it because his or her parents have supported them in their unjust pursuit. Now, say you are in a tough situation - in order for you to be released from this situation AND be happy at the same time, your “true friend” would be forced to finally admit to his or her parents that their bias is unjust and that your friend was just saying what he or she said for their own selfish reasons.

Long story short - would your “true friend” stop their charade and admit their wrong-doings to their parents in order to 1) bring their parents out of ignorance and 2) release you from your tough situation as well as make you happy? Think about that - would your best friend admit guilt and wrongdoing to help you out?

I’ll tell you this - the answer isn’t always yes…
