Looks Like It’ll Be Bush For Me

Well, I’ve watched all of the “big shots” at the DNC and quite frankly, I didn’t like it.
Now, I know I’ve been critical of the “right” as well as the “left” - but only where appropriate. I think that it is appropriate to be critical of the left in the wake of their convention…I don’t think that anything was accomplished.
I commend the Democrats for not bashing the hell out of Bush or anyone else (though there was a big shot at Ashcroft tonight). I also applaud the Democrats for showcasing some of their young leaders throughout the convention.
What bothers me is that I’m hearing the same message. I’m hearing the same message from both sides!!! I know that people who are more into politics than I am can tell you a million differences in the messages from either side, but I can’t. I take myself as a common American and as a middle of the road sorta guy. And from my viewpoint, after hearing a week of the same old same old from the Democrats, well - I’d rather vote for the guy whose policies that I DO know (Bush) than the guy whose has yet to prove himself in the position of the Presidency (Kerry).
A strong third party candidate could take this election…but a move towards the middle by either candidate can be just as strong.

Joe:
I did not hear one democrat accuse Bush of genocide against people of color at this year’s convention. They’re saving that for moveon.org I guess.

Oh man - I HATE MoveOn.org! And you know what bothers me the most about them and the rest of the extremists?
Well, mainly the crap propaganda that they put out into the bookstores. They have some book out called, "50 Reasons Why You Should NOT Vote for Bush" or some garbage like that. Alright, I don’t mind spirited, intelligent discourse on policy and political method - but I sure as hell take issue with an extremist group that publishes a book that takes up space in my favorite bookstores.
Of course, I also take issue with the fact that Borders, Barnes & Noble, and the rest of the bookstores out there only seem to want to showcase the left side of the political spectrum…
