Worst VMA’s EVER!!!

For those of you who checked out the VMA’s tonight - what the hell was that?!?!
Where was the host? Where were the “surprises?” What was the damn point?
Was it just me, or were there literally NO music celebrities there? Yeah, they had about 20 or so big names in entertainment/music, but they didn’t have the big names that they used to bring in. Maybe it’s because they were in Miami this year…who knows?
Also, they definitely could have slowed down with the concerts-in-show this year. Way, way too many of them throughout the show. And how horrible were some of those performances? How can these people make it in the big time if they can’t perform at even a somewhat decent level live? Hoobastank comes to mind…
And I know I said this in my last post, but the focus on Ashlee Simpson by some is pathetic. I know that she’s young and she’s not deserving of the berating that I might be writing down here, but if she’s going to be allowed to put herself out there (for whatever reason), then she’s also going to be treated just like everyone else out here. She sucks.
The VMA’s were pathetic this year. MTV - listen up! You guys BLEW it this year! You want to know what you did wrong? Well, start with the pre-show, go through the entire show up through the end, and then you’ll know what you messed up on. The WHOLE thing! It sucked!
Here’s looking towards 2005’s VMA’s for maybe something a bit better…

I agree man. It sucked big time. I would never attend P Diddy’s party if it is like this. They were throwing money what the hell was that. Music should not be about money. Where is the soul of 80s. It just sucked. Welcome to the 21st century. It had great stage but had no soul.

The VMA’s for 2003, 2004, and 2005 all BIT !! MTV needs to get back to what they used to do. What they do now is reality tv and cheesy rap/crap and aweful concerts to “raise awareness” for stuff..what happened to real music, real musicians, real talent, real charity and people who were not so full of themselves like PDummy?

Man I thought they really sucked also. Tehy didn’t have any good performers other then Green Day. What happened to rock, it seems liek everything is about rap. I didn’t even know who half those nominees were. Maybe FUSE should have music awards or something to take back rock and alternative!

Amen on that. This was so unbelievably bad and boring, maybe for the exception of Jessica Simpsons outfit and Shakira shaking it. And what was this R. Kelly think?
Maybe if they had actually played some music now and then….

I agree. The 2005 VMA are the worst VMAs ever. WTF is R Kelly thinking? That fag should get shot, period. Green Day and The Killers rocked, but other than that everything else was just a waste. Finally, I think whoever thought about getting P diddy to be the MC, is now looking for a new job. If he’s not, shame on MTV once more.
