Before I turned in for the night, I thought that I’d post the following comic strip from my Dilbert day calendar:
I think that this comic pretty much sums up all of the tech support problems that I’ve ever had! What are we stupid? Dude, most of the time the TECH SUPPORT people are the ones who are lost!

I hate techies! Why are they so arrogant and think that we can’t conceptualize what the problem mght be?

If you were a techie then youd understand why we think that you are unable to conceptualize the problem, maybe its because most can not for some reason or another. Also we need to take you through 10billion steps because you can not admit that it is user error on your part.

Hi Guys, I was on both sides of the situation and here is my perspective. First when I was a web developer, I was open minded and understood the problems with the tech support people. Then when I became Sys-admin/Developer I used hear things from people like “Since you formatted my computer, I lost my email account (web-based).”, “There is something wrong with my computer, but I cant tell you what. You figure it out since its your job.” So there are both kinds of people to deal with and not everyone can be blamed.
