I had a job opportunity come my way. A great opportunity - almost $50K per year great.

I couldn’t take the job. They wouldn’t hire someone who wasn’t available part-time. I’m available part-time because I have class on Tuesdays…

I can only work 4 days a week, not 5 days a week. So I have to keep working for a person who I can’t stand and continue to make less than half of what the job offers that I’m getting are offering…because I can’t work on Tuesdays.

Everyone says that Graduate School will pay off and that I should just wait for the next year and tough it out because after I get my Master’s I’ll be making great money doing whatever I want.

But in the mean time I have to compromise my integrity working for a company that I despise because they’re the only ones who’ll hire an over-qualified person on a part-time (4 out of 5 days per week) basis.

Folks - seriously consider Graduate School before you sign the paper and start the coursework.
