Going to New Orleans

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Folks - I’ll be spending the next week in New Orleans for the 48th Biennial Convocation of Sigma Pi Fraternity, International. It’s basically a national convention that takes place every 2 years where the “business” of the fraternity gets accomplished.
See you all in a week!

“Don’t Miss the First Five Minutes”

Monday, July 31st, 2006

One of the greatest things that I’ve seen on television lately are these commercials for Last Comic Standing where the announcer says, “Don’t miss the first five minutes to see who goes home.”
Being an overanalyzer, this quick little phrase got me thinking. “Don’t miss the first five minutes…” what does this mean? The […]

Movie Review: Monster House

Monday, July 31st, 2006

After a few weeks’ long break, one of my roommates and I went over to the movies this past Friday night. The movie of choice? As you may have gathered from the title of this post, “Monster House.”
I’ve read reviews for this movie that claim it is the first real cartoon horror movie […]

Lebanese Media Garbage

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

As I’m sitting here doing some work on TBL’s new design, I have the Sunday news playing in the background. This guy Rami Khouri, the Editor-at-Large for one of Lebanon’s largest newspapers, is on the telephone talking to the news guy and has the audacity to speak for you and me. That’s right […]

DVD Review: TNA Genesis 2005

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

Those of you who read TBLWrestling.com know that I recently began watching Total Nonstop Action wrestling - otherwise known as TNA. They call themselves the “new face of professional wrestling” and to help set themselves apart from WWE, they have a six-sided ring and have their weekly tapings as well as pay per views […]

Ocean Township - Home of Pirated CDs

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

As if all of the crap in Ocean Township wasn’t enough, now they’ve uncovered a pirated CD ring in town. Though it’s not an underage boozefest, the simple act of using one’s eyes brought this situation to light. From the Atlanticville:
Sgt. Tom Burke noticed what he believed to be counterfeit music CDs on […]

A Good Man Comes Back: John O. Bennett

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

Former State Senate President, John O. Bennett III, was appointed as the Keansburg Council’s attorney yesterday.
Senator Bennett was the victim of a smear campaign that cost him his place atop the New Jersey Senate in 2003, but he’s been on the rise since then. In 2005 he was elected (though unopposed) as the Republican […]

Christmas in July! Sorta…

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

Those of you that know me know that I’m a freak for Christmas. I just love that time of the year! When I get older, I fully intend to have an entire room in my house dedicated to the celebration of Christmas. Very weird, I know.
I had planned on having a Christmas […]

Ding Dong, The Witch is Dead!

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

For those of you that don’t know, Tina Fey has officially announced that she is leaving Saturday Night Live. Thank God! The show has absolutely sucked over the past 5 years and wouldn’t you know it, but she’s been the head writer for the past 6!
Ok - some of her stuff is funny, […]

Another Record for TBLWrestling.com

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

Thanks again to all of you who frequent this blog and the wrestling site. Yesterday was another recording-breaking day for the website in terms of hits. You may remember that July 5th of this month was the latest non-WrestleMania recording-breaking day for hits on the site.
I just wanted to say thank you for […]

Busy Designing Weekend

Monday, July 24th, 2006

Many of the finer points of the new design for TBLWrestling.com were worked out over the last weekend. Not the least of these finer points was the finalization of the new TBLWrestling.com logo:

I call it the “rusted metal” logo since the background for it is a rusted metal design that I made. Creative, […]
